HEMATITE CYLINDER SEAL
Cylinder seals were employed in
marking property and in signing
documents. In chamber 2 of the
royal tomb, this cylnder seal carved
in hematite was found. It had
already been centuries old when it
was placed there. The engravings
show divine symbols, persons,
hands, animals and syrian sphinxes.
