DOG TAGS
Every miner has an identification
number. Before he descends
into the mine, he places a tag
bearing his number an a hook in
the ‘underground’ section of
this status board. Once he
resurfaces again, he hangs it
back. This way it can easily be
determined how many, and
which, miners are underground.
